Calling All New Teachers!
We’re excited to once again be joining new teachers at this year’s Beginning Teachers’ Conferences! Be sure to stop by our booth to get to know us a little better and learn a bit more about your benefits—including the Employee and Family Assistance Program. And, don’t forget to pick up one of our ever-popular promotional items! We’ve got lots to share, so be sure to visit us at a conference near you:
Double the Bikes, Double the Fun
This month, we had the chance to once again participate in an ASEBP favourite—the Corporate Challenge Big Bike event! And while the weather didn’t cooperate, the rain didn’t dampen our spirits or stop us from enjoying (you guessed it) two Big Bike rides.
We had 45 riders in total set out on a two-kilometer tour near our Edmonton office. Equipped with matching gear, noisemakers and even some bubbles, we got plenty of encouragement from passing traffic in the form of honks and waves.
Start the Summer off Right
Do you have big plans for the upcoming school year that you want to remember but don’t want to think about right now because it’s summer? Well, look no further because we have a plan(ner) for that! Starting today, the 2019-20 ASEBP Calendar & Health Planner can be ordered for free through My ASEBP.
Northern Alberta Wildfire Evacuations
If you’re in a community affected by the Chuckegg Creek Fire, our thoughts are with you during this difficult time and we encourage you to contact our office if you have any questions or concerns about your benefits. In the meantime, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Virtual Spring Cleaning: The Phishin' Edition
After another long Alberta winter, the arrival of spring is always welcome. A bit more daylight, a little less snow, some warmer days (maybe?).
It’s also the perfect time for another round of spring cleaning—virtual-style! Because while you might be looking forward to getting outside and doing some actual fishing, there are plenty of online scammers still hard at work trying to get their hooks into your personal information.
Don’t Take the Bait
50 Years On: Looking Back, Growing Forward
A Top-Notch Announcement
Walking the talk around workplace wellness is critical to our success as an organization and why we’re so thrilled to share that we’ve once again secured a spot on the list of Alberta’s Top Employers!
Things to Know Before you go (to the 2019 Teachers’ Conventions)
Teachers’ conventions are a great way to connect with colleagues and take part in professional development opportunities. They’re also a chance to check out some of the many vendors available, but before you do, we’ve got some important things to keep in mind:
Information in an Instant
If you didn’t know this already, My ASEBP is your go-to place for managing your claims and information. From submitting claims to learning about your benefit usage—and even adding your banking information so that you’re getting reimbursed for your spending account claims—the reasons for being on My ASEBP are endless! But did you know that My ASEBP can also expedite the way you get important ASEBP information?
