Celebrating 55 Years!

Jun. 9, 2023

I am excited to announce that 2023 marks ASEBP’s 55th anniversary. Yes, you read that correctly—ASEBP started out way back in 1968!

It has been an honour serving Alberta’s public education sector for the past 55 years. From providing peace of mind to paying claims to supporting your health journey, ASEBP is proud of being there for you, both then and now. The organization has grown in so many ways these last five and a half decades and will continue to do so in the years to come to ensure covered member and employer needs are met.

Celebrating Black History

Feb. 1, 2023

February is Black History Month—an opportunity to celebrate the history, culture, and continuous contributions of Black Canadians. Although we at ASEBP know that Black people deserve to be celebrated and appreciated throughout the year, and we work diligently to do so, we like using this dedicated month to share more information about the wonderful achievements and excellence of Black Canadians and the creative ways schools and school boards in Alberta are marking the month.

A New Year's Message

Jan. 3, 2023

When I look back on 2022, I am so proud of all that we accomplished together. Without meaningful engagement and ongoing feedback from you, our covered members and employers, ASEBP would not have been able to achieve what we have in the past year.

Education Worker Recognition Week 2022

Nov. 7, 2022

This school year, getting back to normal has felt great—for all of us. And as we settle into new routines, we would like to recognize how much education workers’ commitment to building vibrant and healthy school communities means to everyone.

That’s why, for a second year, we are organizing Education Worker Recognition Week. We want all education workers, no matter their role, to feel appreciated and supported.
