ASEBP is aware that a proposed agreement has been reached between the Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association (TEBA) and the Alberta Teachers’ Association (the Association) following scheduled mediation. ASEBP understands that part of this agreement includes benefits related to ASEBP coverage. While ASEBP cannot speak to the specifics of the proposed agreement, benefit specialists are happy to answer any questions that teachers may have about the benefit plan. Any specific questions about the proposed agreement should be directed to the Association. Benefits specialists can be reached toll free at 1-877-431-4786 or by emailing benefits@asebp.ca.

  • Health Information
Jul. 17, 2024

The recent availability of new brand-name weight loss drugs in Canada has meant that we frequently hear about the effectiveness of these treatments, particularly on social media. Your ASEBP benefit plan covers these special authorization drugs, but there are some considerations, including how to apply for coverage and the process for managing refills, that you should know before you speak with your health care provider. If you have additional questions about your coverage, please get in touch with a benefit specialist.
