Phishing campaign targeting ASEBP covered members

ASEBP received notice that a phishing attempt is being made on covered members. This phishing campaign is being carried out by a bad actor that is not affiliated with ASEBP in any way.

The subject of these emails is related to benefits being suspended with an urgent message for recipients to click an “activate” button or their account will be terminated. These emails are using a false and misspelled ASEBP logo and originating from an email address that does not end in “@asebp.ca.”

Please use anti-fraud best practices in responding to any and all emails. If a phishing message contains links that you clicked and shared personal information through, you should change your password immediately and contact your IT department.

If you have concerns or questions about your ASEBP account, please contact a benefit specialist at benefits@asebp.ca or call toll free at 1-877-431-4786.

Education Worker Recognition Week 2024

  • ASEBP News
Nov. 18, 2024

Join ASEBP from November 25-29, 2024, in celebrating the inspiring education workers in Alberta’s education system. Education Worker Recognition Week, now in its fourth year, is an opportunity to join the community in voicing gratitude for education workers – from teachers, guidance counsellors, custodians, and bus drivers to all those working behind the scenes–in our public, separate, or Francophone school districts.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

All you have to do is share a positive message or story about an Alberta education worker on Facebook, Instagram, or X between November 25-29, tagging ASEBP (@asebpbenefits) and using the hashtag #YouMakeADifference. Two lucky nominees will be selected at random to win a $100 Tango gift card each. We are also giving away a $50 Tango gift card to a randomly selected nominator.

We have also extended invitations to stakeholders and partners to join us in this heartfelt celebration. Be sure to visit our Instagram, X, or Facebook page to read the many #YouMakeADifference posts and to see our collective gratitude.

If you have a message of your own to share, we eagerly await your participation. For those looking to help spread the joy during the event, there are more details on the It Takes a Village wellness hub.

Help Alberta’s education workers feel appreciated and tell them #YouMakeADifference! And you never know, you might just win a prize, too!
