ASEBP has extended its partnership with GreenShield Health to continue delivering the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) to covered members through 2027. This long-term commitment ensures education workers and their families continue to receive uninterrupted access to trusted mental health and wellness professionals. A reminder: EFAP hours reset on January 1 

As you approach the new year, ASEBP wants to remind you and your family of the support available at no cost through the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)Your yearly services reset on January 1 and provide you and each of your dependants access to: 

  • Four hours of counselling for each individual and four hours of couples or family counselling. 
  • Mightier: an at-home, game-based children’s mental health program that uses wearable technology to help children explore emotions and develop self-regulation skills (by request only). 
  • Unlimited financial advice for managing debt, mortgage planning, investment strategies and retirement planning. 
  • Four hours of health coaching providing access to occupational therapists, nutritionists, doulas, lactation consultants, addiction coaches among many other health practitioners. 
  • Four hours of life transition coaching which can support you with caring for aging parents, moving homes, and becoming a new parent or an empty nester.  
  • Unlimited legal advice where you can speak to a lawyer about real estate law, receive help writing a will, and get support managing a family conflict or estate planning.  
  • Four hours of career coaching where GreenShield’s experts can provide you support with career planning, workplace conflict, drafting resumes and cover letters, or adapting to a changing workplace. 
  • Three hours of personalized nutrition where a registered dietician will first assess, then create a tailored plan to help you reach your personal health goals. 

ASEBP recognizes that the holiday season can be joyful for many but also an emotionally difficult one for others. Don’t wait until support is urgently needed. Register now and let the EFAP support you as you support others. Services and appointments are also available in the evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

How to register 

You will need your ASEBP ID number and organization code to register. 

  • You can find your ASEBP ID number on your ID card online at My ASEBP or in the app. 
  • If you don’t have your organization code handy, email benefits@asebp.ca or call 1-877-431-4786 and a benefit specialist will send you your code. Please include your full name and ASEBP ID number in your email. 
  • Use your personal email address to set up your account so you can access your EFAP anytime, anywhere.
